On Senior Night at Palo Alto High School, the Lady Vikes girls’ lacrosse team cruised to any easy 12-4 victory over the Saratoga Falcons. Charlotte Biffar (’13) led the team with three goals and was closely followed by Emily Benatar (’11) who found the back of the net twice.

Only eight players failed to register a point, and surprisingly, senior goalie Gayle Schumacher (’11) scored a goal.

Sophomores Genevieve Lucas-Conwell (’13) and Jordan Smith (’13) each scored for the Lady Vikes and seniors Gracie Cain (’11), Leigh Dairaghi (’13) and Rachel Shaffer (’13) added goals as well.

In other news, sisters Emy and Nina Kelty (’12, ’13) made the NorCal “A” team and will be joined by Kimmie Flather (’12) and Charlotte Biffar (’13). Emma Beckstrom (’13) was selected to be on the NorCal “B” team. The teams will go to compete in a national tournament this summer and players may be selected to be on the U.S. National team.
