Lily Zhang’s (’14) Olympic table tennis run ended quickly with a first round loss to Croatia’s Cornelia Vaida in the first round of the tournament. The youngest table tennis competitor in London, Zhang lost 4-0, with set scores of 11-6, 11-8, 11-7, 11-5.
Teammate Ariel Hsing won a quick and decisive victory over Mexico’s Yadira Silva in just over 30 minutes. She won in four sets: 11-9, 11-8, 11-3, and 11-5.
