League Diving Update

Paly divers showed a dominating performance at the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League Championships yesterday, sweeping first, second and third in the girls’ division and first in the boys’.

Captain Emma Miller (’12) won the girls competition with a career high of 390.05, Serena Yee (’13) placed second with a personal best 381.65 and Nadya Nee (’13) placed third with 340.40. Phoebe So (’14), who moved up into Varsity just two weeks ago, placed ninth with 288.55. The Lady Vikes helped Paly score 62 points out of the possible 68 which will help swimming immensely in their competition.

Cole Plambeck (’13) won a decisive victory in the boys’ competition and his third consecutive SCVAL diving championship with 476.65. Jonathan Kosaka (’14) scored 270.84, finishing fourth, but just missing the Central Coast Championship qualifying score of 280.00. All of the divers mentioned above  and Alex Francis (’13) have already qualified for CCS.

The swimmers will compete at SCVALS for the rest of this week at Lynbrook.
